The return of the school holidays saw the return of the ever popular Mosborough Fun Camps.
Many activities took place in the hall, allowing for plenty of activity and lots of energy to be displayed by the children. This was most evident during the competition which was staged across the camps. It involved several different activities including football, dodgeball, relay races, football rounders and musical mats. The intense competition came to a head on Thursday, the final day of the camps. After two days of competition both the reds and the blues had one victory each, meaning the winner on Thursday would take all the glory. The reds raced into a lead by winning the football rounders by a huge 10 points. The blues narrowed the gap a little by edging the musical mats to reduce the arrears to 7 points. With just the football left in the morning session the blues knew a win in this event was important and they duly delivered, winning by 2 points to trail by 5 heading into lunch. The afternoon started with an even showing in the relay races meaning a 5 point lead for the reds heading into the final event, dodgeball. With the blues having to take a big win to level up the contest they started quickly winning the first 4 games to trail by just 1 point heading into the final game and also the final event of the camps. Unsurprisingly, after the previous four game showing, the blues snatched the win meaning that after three days of games and activities it was a draw.
A huge thank you to all who came to the camps and made them such a massive success. We hope to see everyone again next time during the summer holidays for more fun and activities.
