Mosborough Fun Camp Christmas 2009

Mosborough Fun Camp Christmas 2009

January 4, 2010 | Nathan Reid

The first day of the Christmas Mosborough Fun Camp was a bit different to previous camps. As a Christmas treat the children came to see a Christmas film. Collected and dropped off in a mini bus to a chorus of ‘My Little Donkey in French’ they were taken to the refurbished and upgraded Lady Mabel Hall at Ecclesfield School. The teacher that runs the Film Club at the school kindly gave up his time to come in and put on a showing of ‘The Grinch’. The tiered seating was used and the hall blacked out with the big screen down. The kids ate popcorn and watched the Grinch with chuckles and laughter.

After the film we had our lunch and a surprise visit from Father Christmas and Alvin the Chipmunk who brought along presents, had their picture taken with the kids and Alvin also showed off his dance moves!!!!!

A few games in the hall to use up some of the energy built up from being sat in the theatre before returning back to Mosborough.

A special thanks to Tom, from Ecclesfield School for putting on the film.

The other 4 days of the fun camp were held as usual at Mosborough Primary School. Some of the favoured games throughout the camp include, flies & lizards, foxes & rabbits, treasure island as well as using the hama beads.

On Wednesday 23rd in the afternoon we played a few party games to celebrate Christmas including pin the nose on Rudolph, musical mats & pass the parcel. The kids danced along to the music with prizes & treats given out and all had a fun time.

The sessions on the 29th & 30th December proved a chance for all the children to talk about what Santa had brought them a few days earlier and some even brought their presents in to show us and play. They played a variety of games again in a relaxed atmosphere. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the camps over Christmas and we wish you all a Happy New Year.
