The Team

Nathan Reid – Assistant FM Community & Leisure

Nathan has been a member of the Interserve team since 2004. Starting on a Part Time basis working in our four Sports Centres, he has rapidly become a very successful and integral part of the progression of Active 8 – Sheffield. In 2006 Nathan stepped up to a Full Time role as Leisure Supervisor, taking on more responsibilities and having an increased say in how the centres operate. 2007 saw Nathan move up a level higher to the role he currently occupies as Assistant Facilities Manager. He has made great strides in this role and aims to expand Active 8 – Sheffield onto a bigger and better level.

Marvin Wilson – Leisure Supervisor

Marvin came to Interserve in September 2007 working Part Time across our Sports Centres. Over this period Marvin has worked hard to improve these facilities and customer relations, he is now taking the opportunity to take on the role of Leisure Supervisor previously held by Steve Little

Marvin has a background in sports coaching, leisure management and health & fitness, which will provide him with a good background into how to adapt to his new role. He has big ambitions and will hopefully bring yet another dimension to the already succesful team with new ideas and a fresh insight into the Leisure Industry.

Lee Mullen – Community Liaison Officer

Lee joined the team in March 2009 as a Leisure Assistant working part-time across all of our sports centres. During this time he became a friendly face to all customers and contributed significantly to all our community initiatives. He has now taken the opportunity to work alongside Steve as Community Liaison Officer and is currently establishing Active8 Sheffield as a vital partner in the local community.

He has a background in Physical Education and Youth Sport, therefore brings yet another new aspect to our already thriving team. His experience, knowledge and understanding of working with children in the community and other local partnerships means that the company can continue to progress forward and experience every success it aspires to.

Martin Steele – Community Liaison Officer

Martin joined Interserve in September 2011 as a Leisure Assistant and has taken the lead on our Boxercise Class which allowed him to develop relationships with members of the community who regularly attend. Martin has also been involved in our fun camp sessions which take place at Mosborough during the half terms. He has a broad background in sport, focusing more specifically in Sport and Exercise Science and sports coaching. He is also experienced with working with a wide range of individuals (4+), he has gained some of this experience through volunteering in a local primary school PE department as well as coaching the Sheffield Hallam University American Football team.

Martin aims to increase the use of our facilities by members of the local community by making them accessible through a range of new activities and community events. Through his links to local American Football teams he hopes to help continue the growth and development of the sport which would provide opportunities for local youths to participate in a sport that is up-and-coming.
